Central Cone Gravity Watering System

The 4+1 uses a passive gravity-fed watering system — no electricity required:

1. Fill the top reservoir with water (~5 litres)
2. Open the T-valve — water flows through the central cone of each tier
3. The cone distributes water evenly around each tier
4. Excess water drains down through each tier to the next
5. The process repeats through all 4 tiers
6. Remaining water drains into the base tray for reuse

The T-valve has a metal locking clip and positions from 0 (closed) to 5 (full flow). Position 1 = slow drip dosing; position 5 = rapid initial fill.

Watering frequency: every 2–5 days depending on temperature, plant type, and season.

Assembly — No Tools, 3–5 Minutes

1. Place base tray on flat, stable surface
2. Stack reservoir unit on base
3. Add 4 planting tiers one by one, check vertical alignment
4. Install T-valve with metal clip, set to position 0
5. Place top cover
6. Fill inserts with substrate, plant, insert into pockets
7. Fill reservoir with ~5 L water
8. Open valve briefly — distribute water through all 4 tiers
9. Close valve, top up reservoir

Removable Planting Inserts

Each tier holds 4 removable inserts (~700 ml each). The 4+1 has 16 inserts total:
