Some utility elements are simply too wide or too tall for M-01 and M-02 (maximum coverage ø 73 cm, maximum height 27 cm): oversized septic tank risers and lids 70–80 cm in diameter, large pool sand filter systems with wide housings and vertical pipe connections, multi-pump assemblies in horizontal layout, massive concrete inspection rings and wellhead covers wider than 73 cm, and ground-level transformer cabinets that protrude above 25 cm.

Traditional solutions fall short. Natural stone provides the visual ideal but weighs 400–600 kg at this coverage size, requires crane delivery, cannot be hollowed, and costs €1,000–5,000+. Budget plastic covers are lightweight but their painted surfaces fade, crack, and chalk within two to three outdoor seasons.

The M-03 resolves this as the widest and tallest model in the M-series: ø 80 cm of interior coverage with 32 cm of height clearance — maximum on both dimensions. The compact near-square footprint (85 × 83 cm) fits into spaces where elongated models like M-01 (109 × 89 cm) would look disproportionate, while providing more coverage than any other M-series stone.

The M-03 is a hollow shell with a compact near-square boulder shape — an almost perfectly symmetrical 85 × 83 cm base with 32 cm height, creating the most three-dimensional and visually substantial profile in the M-series. The interior provides a usable coverage diameter of ~80 cm, accommodating oversized septic lids, wide pool filter housings, and multi-component utility assemblies that exceed the ø 73 cm limit of M-01/M-02.

Installation is immediate. Place the stone directly over the target object on any surface: grass, soil, gravel, paving. No anchoring, no foundation, no tools. Total setup time: <2 minutes. To access the equipment underneath, lift the stone. At 15 kg, the M-03 is the heaviest model in the M-series — two people are recommended for comfortable transport and placement.

Stability comes from the stone's substantial weight (15 kg) and its near-square base footprint (85 × 83 cm), providing excellent resistance to wind displacement.

Seasonal behavior is neutral. The fiberglass composite structure does not absorb water, does not expand or contract meaningfully with temperature changes, and tolerates a continuous operating range from −30 °C to +60 °C. The stone performs identically in summer heat, autumn rain, and winter frost. It does not need to be removed, covered, or stored during any season.

Base contact — the stone has a non-sealed base and rests directly on the ground surface. It is not hermetically sealed; natural micro air exchange between the interior cavity and the surrounding environment is possible through the ground contact zone.

Safety and load limitations — the product supports 100+ kg of static load under normal conditions. It is not a load-bearing structure, is not designed for impact loads, and is not intended for jumping or active play without prior structural adaptation of the product. Use in children's and public zones is possible with a pre-agreed usage scenario, engineering adaptation of the structure, and coordination of safety requirements.

The M-03 is constructed from a multi-layer fiberglass composite (GFK) — the same class of material used in boat hull construction, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and long-term weather resistance.

The outer surface is a marble chip and marble powder gelcoat of the ISO/NPG class. The color is not painted, printed, or applied as a film. Instead, natural stone chips and stone dust of different colors are mixed directly into the gelcoat compound during manufacturing. This means the color and grain are embedded in the material itself, producing a surface that ages gracefully rather than peeling, flaking, or fading.

Handcrafted production (*In Handarbeit gefertigt*) — color and dimensional deviations of 3–5 cm are within normal range. At 1 metre viewing distance, the M-03 is not identifiable as artificial.

Compared with typical alternatives:

The M-03 occupies the maximum-coverage position in the M-series: wider, taller, and heavier than any other model — yet still 25–40× lighter than the natural stone it replaces.

Maintenance is minimal. Clean occasionally with water and a soft brush. No sealing, repainting, or chemical treatment is ever required.

Oversized septic and drainage covers: conceal septic tank risers and lids in the 70–80 cm range — the objects that exceed M-01/M-02 coverage (ø 73 cm). The 32 cm height accommodates risers that protrude above ground level. Standard European drainage chambers and inspection covers in this size range fit comfortably.

Large pool equipment: cover a wide pool sand filter system with housing and vertical pipe connections, or a multi-pump assembly with multiple units arranged side by side. The ø 80 cm interior and 32 cm height provide generous clearance for complex pool equipment configurations.

Massive wellhead covers: hide concrete wellhead covers, inspection rings, and riser assemblies that protrude above ground. The near-square footprint and tall profile accommodate objects that are both wide and vertically prominent.

Decorative landscape boulder: the compact near-square form (85 × 83 cm) and proportional height (32 cm) make the M-03 the most visually natural-looking model in the M-series — effective as a dominant landscape feature or as the anchor stone in a garden rockery composition. Unlike the flat elongated M-01 or the low-profile M-02, the M-03 reads as a massive natural rounded boulder.

Transformer boxes and electrical cabinets: conceal ground-level transformer housings, multi-zone irrigation controllers, or electrical distribution cabinets. The tall profile provides clearance for vertically mounted equipment.

The M-03 is the maximum-coverage model in the GARTENDEK M-series — widest diameter (ø 80 cm), tallest profile (32 cm), heaviest weight (15 kg). At €378.24, it is the premium M-series option — justified by maximum dimensions in all three axes. The price difference versus M-01 (€377.74) is just €0.50 — but M-03 provides about 20% more coverage area.

Choose M-03 when:

• the object is wider than ø 73 cm (does not fit under M-01/M-02)
• the object is both wide (>73 cm) and tall (>25 cm)
• a compact, proportional boulder shape is preferred over an elongated flat slab
• maximum M-series coverage is needed at essentially the same price as M-01

Consider a different model when:

• the object fits within ø 73 cm with low profile — M-01 or M-02
• the object is tall but narrow (ø ≤ 51 cm) — M-04
• the object exceeds ø 80 cm — L-series
• the object fits within ø 49 cm — S-series
